Description

• Bats are the only mammals that can fly. They flap their webbed fingers to fly, unlike birds, which move their entire forelimbs. 
• Bats use echolocation to navigate and hunt, especially in the dark. 
•  Bats pollinate hundreds of plant species, including agave, bananas, mangoes, and durian. 
•  Bats help control insect populations by eating them. A single bat can eat up to 1,200 mosquitoes in an hour. 
• Some bats hibernate in caves during the winter. They need to eat a lot more during their active months to make up for it.
