Description
The Yeti has many names, including Migoi or Mi-go, which is Tibetan for "wild man," and Bun Manchi, which is Nepali for "jungle man". Some believe the Yeti legend is based on the Tibetan or Himalayan Brown Bear. Yetis are thought to live in the Himalayan alpine forests below the snow line, but they may venture higher up for food and shelter. Some legends say they can't survive at lower altitudes, and others say they are nocturnal.
